I really, really hope so... I actually have a lot of faith in the team now that Zac Brown is involved, he's signing sponsors left and right, making the company far more accessible, listening to fans, and he is a fan himself.

They're teasing the orange again on twitter... posting pics of the various cars in for service including the orange test livery car.

And again, the bike on the left in the first pic is a black and papaya orange livery while the second shot has the papaya orange car in the background, if it looks like that orange/black bike I'll be happy. Since the Zak Brown takeover their social media people have been vastly better, its almost like everything the sponsors like TAG Heuer used to find wrong with McLaren under Ron Dennis' leadership they're actually now fixing.

...and a new name. It won't be the MP4-32 (Marlboro Project 4), it's the MCL32

Very interesting, going through the efforts of presenting a whole brand new image.
I really hope this becomes a true rebirth and that they can leave all their recent troubles behind. They've certainly gone through enough grief already.

Looks like the new McLaren livery might have leaked early from a design agency linked to Codemasters, developers of the F1 2017 game. They posted them on twitter without mentioning the make but the black with papaya orange is pretty hard to miss, as are the blacked out Enkei wheels which are exclusive to McLaren.

If its real, and it certainly is looking that way its also the first real look at the 2017 cars

Nope! The struggles are back :(

"Fernando Alonso has pinned the blame for McLaren's 2017 trouble on Honda, saying its new Formula 1 engine has no power and no reliability."

"There is no reliability and there is no power. We are 30km/h down on the straight, every straight.

"So when you are 30km/h down on every straight it is difficult to have a feeling on the car.

"Everything feels good, but when you arrive to normal speed you don't know what is going to happen."

I've got a 2litre 4pot Honda engine available to borrow., only 240 brake but never broke down yet. (goes and touches wood now.)

Unlikely to be needed. After analysing the Barcelona data, the experts at McLaren have identified the modification which gives them a consistent 1.5sec improvement in their lap speed.

They stick it on the back of the recovery truck.

Honda reckon now they've fixed the known reliabilty issues for Melbourne and McLaren reckon they've got chassis upgrades that amount to almost a whole new car that should be worth +1 second per lap, I guess we'll see if they're both telling the truth or not this week.

Wasn't it meant to be a vibration issue that was shaking loose other components?

    Fingers crossed.
