OT End Link Rattle Tudor BB58

Off topic for TH, but I know many have the same watch. Or potentially the same issue on other watches.

Have noticed some slight end link play on the 12 o clock position.

Currently the watch is strapped to the BB54 rubber strap which uses thinner spring bars (1.5mm x 20mm) rather than the stock (1.8mm x 20mm). This is due to the thickness spacing in the rubber strap element.

However no issue or rattle on the 6 o clock end link.

I can slightly move back and forth the end link at 12. Any fix for this known or is it a new end link?

Seems unlikely.

Annoying bro. I wear mine all the time, will check my end link tolerances tomorrow and let you know.

The spring bars on my ice king used to drive me crazy because they clicked in a weird way when pressure was put on the strap or bracelet. Bought new oem spring bars which did not help. Thought then that it was an error with the drilled holes in the lugs. Then got the uncle rice bracelet and fitted it with the uncle rice spring bars. Now no more "clicks" or play, perfect fit. I guess TAG oem springbars were donkey and not actually fit for that watch.

It’s definitely annoying.

I get that click on my Seiko Arnie, with their Seiko nato, but that’s because I don’t think that model is meant to have nato straps attached.

I may have to put the bracelet back on with their spring bars and see it if happens still. If so I guess I’ve potentially stretched the end link or knocked it.

If the current spring bars (thinner ones for the rubber strap) I’d expect it to happen at both ends.

I know I expect user error in fitting the rubber strap and spring bars

#officialTHFwatch

It’s such a great watch. We should get everyone here who loves the BB58 to collaborate and write an article for Rob’s blog about it.

FWIW mine is on the original leather and doesn’t rattle. Because it’s perfection in watch form.

Wearing mine again now. Doug is right, nothing but perfection and no endlink play, solid fit

Put the bracelet back in earlier. No play in the end links.

Although fitting the end links back on prior to fitting the bracelet, the 12pm one, is loose & falls freely from the lugs. The 6pm one tight as

Can assume I’ve probably knocked it at some point & loosened rather tolerance. But as mentioned no play when bracelet on.

Can also assume with the thinner spring bars with the rubber strap is causing an issue.

Shame as I love it on that combo & the t-fit clasp.
