Opinions needed

Hi all,

Need some advice from some more informed watch collectors.

I have a couple of Formula 1 watches which I love and which I naively thought would be the end of my watch collecting. Turns out it's not that simple and I'm now considering something slightly higher end and automatic. I'm thinking an Omega Seamaster diver 300m or Tudor black bay. What are your thoughts on these brands and models? Is one likely to lose more value than the other? I know having a watch that truly appreciates in value would be way out of my league but if I'm going to spend nearly three grand I do need to consider this. Any help would be appreciated.

Never buy any watch with the thought of value retention unless you’re a trader/dealer and can take a gamble.
There is no certainty with any watch, except those in that moment, so buy what you want and love.
Both of the watches you mention will inevitably lose value because they are mass produced and not limited in production.
If you really want to chance it and go for something that may appreciate look at a vintage Heuer, but again buy want you really like, A’s then you can never go wrong.
