I bought this watch from est1897 yesterday, so still waiting to receive it. I’m in Portsmouth, and have used a local jewellers; Robin Martins, in the past for a previously owned Tag for a battery change.
Can anyone tell me a bit about the models history. Does it have a uni-rotating bezel? It looks quite clean, but is a bit grubby around the bracelet links from what I could see on the photos on their website. What’s the best way to clean it? It comes with its box, but no paperwork, is there any way of finding out it’s age/history from a serial number on the back of the watch?
The above jewellers have quoted £88 for a battery change and clean, but it will come with a new battery, so I only need it cleaning. I’ve asked the jewellers for a price for just cleaning, but am waiting to hear back.
