Great review as always. I also prefer this model over the more expensive gold bezel variant. However may favorite of the skeleton line, would be either the 2015 original, or possibly this one: CARRERA CAR2A90 PHANTOM
Both of these were on my wishlist, particularly the phantom, until I tried the "normal" steel version that looked like handcuffs on my little wrist.
It certainly is a nice balance of gold and black without being too blingy. 45mm is too big for me but I would beinterested to see one in the flesh.
There is a photograph of the gold bezel version on the TH FB page and I agree with you, that it is too much. This version is much classier.
