While I hope this was a positive move for Catherine, I want to raise a glass full-of-optimism that we'll get more faithful vintage re-editions in the future.

Going through his IG and I think there's a good match. Motorsports, classic cars and watches. Plenty of vintage Heuer posts dating years back 👍

I wonder if he had to buy from a scalper or got it direct from TAG. I was told that it wouldn't be sold outside the US and Japan. 😀

Whatever, he has had the good sense to put it on a black rally strap, so the man obvious does have taste.

I believe this is the standard strap outside of the US, where alligator isn't allowed.

I don't believe so. The strap they shipped outside of the US didn't have rally holes - this one looks like it does.

OK, maybe it's the extra Hodinkee strap they bundled in that case? The official TAG branded strap was definitely a plain black leather, though.

Catherine will be joining Bulgari as Head of Communications for Watches- of course, lots of former TAG Heuer people at Bulgari.

Catherine was hugely passionate about Heuer and TAG Heuer and was a real help behind the scenes in confirming stories, or providing help with research...she'll do a great job with Bulgari, and look forward to seeing what Nick brings to the job.

I'm hoping to get across to Switzerland later this year and be able to discuss with the new team....can assure that it's not a lack of interest/ desire at my end, it's whether TAG Heuer will do it!
