New glass for watch

Tag Heuer 1000 Ref.980.026n I would like a new glass for it,is it possible to purchase one for this at a jewellers without having to send it to Tag Heuer and having to also pay for a service

Maybe not a jewellers, but definitely and watchmaker worth his salt will have stock or can order one for you. Look to pay about or even under £20 ($30) for the crystal and installation.

Look for a reputable watchmaker in the area and they should be able to do the lot for you, including servicing as the quartz movement is very simple.

I take it you’re in the states? If so then take a read of this thread regarding a chap, Justin, who has a wealth of experience with the 1000’s, and can advise on the crystal replacement and servicing.

Just saw your other post and see the currencies.

I’ve used a guy in Nothern Ireland myself to service and replace the crystals on my mid-size 1000 and 2000 series watches. The guys name is David and goes by benchdweller.uk. If I remember correctly a service is £50 and the crystal £10 and then a few quid postage.
