March 2016 Update- you can see the new Monza here ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A little birdie at the Connected launch in New York has confirmed what we told you back in September- that the Monza will return in 2016...and we also hear of others that we can't yet reveal Question is, which Monza? Which do you want to see of the three? 1. 1970s Heuer Monza 2. 2000 TAG Heuer Monza I 3. 2011 TAG Heuer Monza II For me it's either 2. or 3...and I'd lean towards 2. The original is cool, but at the end of the day it's a PVD Carrera with red detailing, and we already have plenty of those
A couple of years back I bought my wife a Monza Calibre 36; obviously she did not grasp into the brand and stuck to Rolex. Seeing me deplete Omegas on the bay, she suggested I get rid of the Monza as well. I bought her back from her
I ordered an oxblood vintage strap from Squinky with original Heuer buckle; the current brown leather is coated with creams and make-up remains I think we'd better wait for the new strap before revealing it to the public
I'd rather see a decently-priced new version of the original Monza - keep in mind the PVD model was also accompanied by a steel / chrome model, so not just a PVD Carrera. If they're going to re-re-release the new "Monza" I'd at least like them to call it what it really is - a new Camaro. Still, with all the disappointing news out of TAG Heuer lately, I'll allow myself to be slightly optimistic about this.
