New CS3110 owner introduction

My first post on here and my first Tag Heuer or Heuer.

My introduction to the world of mechanical watches came initially though Seiko, both new and vintage....plus also some modding. In October a chap I was following on instagram sold me his CS3110. I'd been lusting after one for a while and I'm smitten.
Hopefully the pics will show up (is this forum not on tapatalk?)

I've read some articles on this model and am left with 2 or 3 questions (please be gentle) Being new to the forum, I apologise if these questions have been asked before.

- I understand these were not limited but numbered and made from 1996 to about 2000? ... I don't have box and papers.....Is there a way to check the year of my watch from the number on the caseback?

- Secondly....is it worth trying to hunt down a set of boxes with the round perforated case that these originally came with?
