Here is a new buckle a buckle maker made for me. Looks great, thought I 'd share it with you guys. It is white copper and I didn;t choose silver because the buckle maker says that silver may be softer and since I am not gentle with my watches most of the time, I'd go for white copper.

Looks great. How will the white copper change over time?

It hasn't change yet, but I guess it will oxidate when summer comes and people sweat. According to the buckle maker, it can become more like heated blue steel if you are not careful with it. Though you can polish it now and then.
But it has a yellow-ish reflection, so in some lights, it looks very different from stanless steel. So far so good.

here is an update. It looks just like erosion, but actually looks okey. I think this is what it is gonna look like in a long run, but the front side rubs with my shirt all the time so it looks good as new. Really looking forward to some aging effect, but it seems not likely.

I assume you mean corrosion rather than erosion. The latter would not be so good! It has a nice aged look to it already. I think the correct term for it is tarnishing, but I guess it is a form of corrosion (in this case oxidation).

Yes, corrosion, or tarnishing
That is the correct vocabulary. Appolpgy for poor choice of vocabulary, which is mainly because I skipped too many chemistry classes during high school......
