I love this watch! I can't stop looking at it. But because it's been in NOS condition for 30 years, I'm almost afraid to wear it. 馃槵

I was planning to swap my OEM 6000 black pin-buckle leather strap to keep the 6000 Senna's deployant strap NOS. But the screws are locked in tight and don't budge. I don't want to risk damaging something on this one, so I'll leave it alone. (I hate these screws!)

I have found some very interesting information about the launch of the 6000 Senna from this eBay listing.

The unexpected death of Senna meant the originally planned launch date of Oct. 1994 was delayed until 1995. It seems the official launch event was hosted by Viviane Senna Lalli (Ayrton's sister), Christian Viros (CEO of TAG Heuer) and Hans Stern (President of Hans Stern Jewelers). It took place in Sao Paulo Brazil on the 23rd of March 1995. So, this year actually marks the 30th Anniversary of the launch of the 6000 Senna!!!

Congrats Michael, for some reason I feel like I thought you already had this... what with you being such a big Senna fan.

Thank you Rob!

One would think, but no, it's been an on and off elusive goal since the original release 30 years ago.

Back in '95, I was quite satisfied with my 'Senna' S/EL cream dial ana-digi (CG1123), bought just a year or so earlier. That was "the" Senna model for me. So when the 6000 Senna was launched, it was a little too soon for another watch, plus it seemed out of my reach (with just 1000) and expensive for the time. I thought I'd pick one up used later in a few years, but the used prices seemed to go even higher than retail, and then I just forgot about the watch. Life moves on.

Fast forward to when @Albert-AMG got his in 2019, my interest was renewed again. However, I could never find the right one, it was always either more than I wanted to pay, or the condition left something to be desired. It finally all came together with the great help of @mattp, a NOS condition 6000 Senna, with complete box & papers, at a fairly reasonable price.

You could try heat - if you have a soldering iron (preferably with temperature control), touching a screw for a few seconds and then try unscrewing it again (do one screw at a time, and apply heat repeatedly if it's still stuck).

Seems only right that you should have one.

Happy to have added the WH1114 to my collection also. Thats 2 WH1114 found in the past 2 weeks with mine and @Mspeedster . Mine is not NOS like Michael's but it's in pretty good condition for its age.
It was a lucky find in a Pawn Shop in Queensland, Australia. I bought it from just the pics they posted online.
