Need some help with Autavia Heuer 02 ... odd behaviour

So anyone else have or had this problem? My Autavia has started losing time and doesn't stay wound when even on a winder. If I set the time, it runs but starts to run behind within about an hour or two and will probably crap out six hours in. If I let the chrono run, it works perfectly, ie. keeping exact time down to seconds......as soon as I push button and stop chrono movement, it goes back to not keeping time. Anyone know what this problem is? I couldn't find anything on the forum or using search on the internet. Would like to understand before taking in for a repair.

How long have you had your watch? Is it still under warranty?

I don't think I've seen anyone post on this specific problem before with the H02, but I might have missed something.

I had that exact problem. Send it in for service.
My fully wound H02 fragment died within 60 seconds.

My watchmaker won’t take it because in-house movement. No parts.

he did open it. Here’s the interesting find….some rust
Mine seems to suffered from lubrication issue. Or lack of.

Damn that is what I feared, ie. lubrication. What did it end up costing you @ngo516 if I may ask?

I am still within warranty. No cost.
It seems a manufacturer issue.
I’m certain TH is aware.

there are issues with H02 other members encountered and posted here. Look those up. Mine and yours are at the extreme end.

I hope they do the right thing and take care of yours properly.
Raise the issue with service and send them these threads.
Update us along the way. It’s important to update this thread to maintain any leverage you possibly have.

TH will sort it out for you, with minimal cost.
I hope TH takes a step further and extend warranty to earlier 02 watches, to 10 years. It’s the least they can do to uphold integrity of H02 and future dev.

my Carrera Fragment is accurate as ever after service.

And here I thought I missed something "inside knowledge" when I saw your original response. 😀

So to come back to you @ngo516, I'm a bit bummed. Took it in to the TAG Heuer shop here in Hamburg and it went to their service center. The folks in the store had no idea what I was talking about when mentioning conversation here. I'm not even sure they knew of this site...didn't seem very well versed in the store. Anyway, comes back that they are replacing the crown (why this has anything to do with it, no clue) and total cost is €218....€69 for the crown and €113 for the service (obviously including a bunch of shit I don't need.) I was hoping for better "support" from this company but unfortunately they are behaving like so many other watch brands I've had the pleasure of being taken advantage of when watches stop working.....I'm look at you Panerai and IWC....both I've had numerous issues with. I'm basically waiting for it to return and selling. Screw them.

Mine had a problem with losing lots of time and ran better when chronograph was engaged.
Sent mine for a service and they made it keep almost perfect time.

My former H01 movement runs better when chronograph was engaged.

I thought most chronograph are like that until i had different chronograph movement to compare with.

I’m leaning more towards the way they look rather than the time keeping ability.
But once I know how many seconds it’s losing/gaining it spikes my ocd

I am OCD too. Trust me, no cure for that.
Just make peace with it. I even have OCD when my digitial Gshock is not synchronized 🙁🤦::facepalm1::
