My wife has on old F1 model(bright yellow/rubber strap) model number seems to be 380.508, it’s highly possible this needs a new movement as I remember it stopped some years ago, it was fitted with a new battery but would not work and was dumped in a drawer, so, do I look for a new innards as per the number above or do I need the back off to look for a different number? Ta.

I think it might use an ETA 251.262. Which should be available on Ebay quite cheaply. Don't quote me on that though.

No, have you got a pic of the outside of the watch? There was more than one yellow F1...

Got one on order from eBay, £14 if memory serves, so approx £30 to fit by AD, New watch for say £45 since it’s sat In a drawer for 10 years or more forgotten.
Might even go for a new bezel or strap.

Nicely done! It's good to keep these old F1's ticking. I feel they are underappreciated but I've always been a fan.

Thanks, I might even give a wee try myself.
Looking at your avatar, Nigel did a short bit during an article for Williams GP 50 years, looked strange without his tache’.

Aha, I remember that one, never did see him in uniform when I’ve been on the Isle of Man, he was supposed to be a special constable on the island, imagine getting pinched for speeding by him.
