No. Not a statement, but I’ve got the day off. Fijished all jy chores and a bit bored, so thought I’d start a ‘fun’ thread. So.... if the lucky numbers came up in the Lotto, and you could only buy 1 watch. Regardless of cost. Which would it be?

(Only ‘rule’ is it has to be attainable - so one offs that have been and gone at auction are out of bounds e.g Newman’s Daytona or McQueen’s Monaco ). 😜

Mine would be the ALS Tourbograph Perpetual.

I'd have bought this last year

Wow! What a watch! Love seeing all these vintage Heuers. Always something new to discover. They’ve ceetainly made a lot of amazing pieces over the years.

Ps. Based on the fact that you pick up a new 5-10 000 dollar watch every week, money does not seem to be a problem so why not wait a month or six and pick up that Lange 😉

22 years ago I bought my first TAG Heuer (S/EL) because Ayrton Senna was (and still is) my idol... so if money were not a problem, this TAG Heuer Carrera 02T Senna would be my choice 😀

You judge on RRP 😜

My spending spree has now sadly come to an end. Watch piggy bank is now squealing!
But yes, will now save up for quite a while for a true grail. Won’t be anywhere near the league of the ALS though. It’d be more like decades or even a century or two, rather than months to afford that! 😁

Some great choices. Love the v4 monaco and the Vanquish. Never seen the Vanquish before.

I’m guessing the hint at a 2010/11 production beyond the very LE never materialised.

Correct, it did not. Only 11 of them and the chances of securing one, even with all the money in the world, are probably very close to zero given that we have only ever seen one for sale second hand.

I would have pick the same but the tourbillon one.

Good point, I forgot about the tourbillion.

Money no object shopping is tricky, most of the watches I want are vaguely obtainable, coming in at £4-10k generally. The mega bucks watches with the crazy complications don't really do it for me.

That’s a shame as it is a very interesting looking modern tag and the technical acheivement is great. Practically I’ve not yet figured out annuaenfor the 1/10 measurement on the Cal 36 Grand Carrera yet. So 1/100 would be more of a talking point than a really useful feature I guess. 😜

At least you can see Tourbi. Blink and you’ll miss that 1/100th 😜
