Maybe I shall write the most cliched First Impressions post ever, maybe I can get Steve McQueen, LeMans and 1969 into every paragraph.

I have been considering this one, however I'm not yet sold.

Those Tiffany blue lume pots just bug me
Agreed, can't figure out why they went with a Tiffany blue/aquamarine lume dot instead of a green shade which would have been in line with the colour scheme. They did the blue dots with yhe blue subdials for the Racing Blue CAW218C. Even a bright yellow would've been more consistent here.

I don't think the neon yellow hand works as well this time around either.

I was hoping more for a forest green motif all around but can definitely say I won't be grabbing this one

At least now you have a green and a reverse green panda Monaco 😛 1000071718.jpg
That's one way to think of it. But a green version of the Monaco Blue Racing is the first thing that comes to my mind.

I really like it. But much like the McQueen (& Panerai). Much better odd my wrist than on. As much as I enjoyed both.

Managed to try this on earlier in the week while in Tokyo. I feel as if I should have fallen in love with it but didn’t. It has everything that should appeal to me but as with the recent blue version ( Which I like better) have decided to pass on it.
Also, whoever is in charge of deciding whether to individually number pieces or not- give yourself a bit of an Uppercut, 🥊🥊 and take the extra time and effort to number each piece please.
With an increase in pricing of over 30% in the last few years , I think this is the least you can do.

Sounds like something a COCO member would say. 😆

With the transition to titanium cases for new Calibre 11 Monacos, we've now seen the following:

CAW218B - Monaco Titan
CAW218C - Monaco French Racing Blue
CAW218D - Monaco Boutique Edition
CAW218E - Monaco Racing Green

Is there a CAW218A somewhere we've all missed??

There's no CAW218A, but my gut says that's being reserved for a special / limited edition titanium Steve McQueen C11 Monaco which could be released in 2029 (Monaco's 60th birthday). The nomenclature and the occasion would be inline with the CAW211A 40th Anniversary Monaco that was released in 2009. The only 38mm sapphire Monaco and the first C11 Monaco of the modern age
