A McLaren spokesperson said that although McLaren didn’t produce the film, it has been close during the production process. There will be a release in April or May in Europe and possibly a little later in the U.S.

On a related note, here's the momentous video McLaren produced to commemorate the 50th Anniversary, back in 2013:

I'm really looking forward to this.

This building here is just around the corner from me in Auckland

It used to be the McLaren family garage for many years and was the first home of Bruce McLaren's racing team!

Is there a McLaren dealer in NZ? That would be the ideal place for the service department.

Conveniently for them, all TAG Heuer references were removed from the old cars ::censored::

I don't like the removal of the old sponsors...even Marlboro. For better or worse, that's how the cars were at the time and that's how they should be seen today.

    Yes, pretty unfair and reprehensible.

Back around 1990 -92 I was working at a transport firm and we had a small red single seater
come down from the Queenstown Motor Museum and it was in transit to England to McLaren
Motorsport. The running gear was I believe Austin 7 and we were told it was Bruces' first single seater.
It was very much along the style of early 50s single seaters than had motorcycle engines. This was here in Gore
and ironically only a mile away is the Austin Healey Bruce raced at the start of his competitive career. I think it was actually
his fathers. The movie/documentary will be fantastic going on past performances by director Rodger Donaldson.
