Looking for stopwatch hands: ref 503.201

Hello everybody. I'm part of a team that is restoring a 1975 BMW 2002 hill climb car. The car had installed a Heuer stopwatch Ref. 503.201. We have had the stopwatch mechanically overhauled but our watchmaker cannot source the seconds counter hand. It snapped in half when the stopwatch was reset, presumably because it was brittle with age. Do you know where we could find the hand? Google turns up no results. We contacted Heuer but they will not do anything without the watch being sent all the way to Switzerland at considerable expense. Assuming the hands are interchangeable for all the 53mm Heuer stopwatches, a seconds hand from a different Ref would be perfectly fine.
