Not surprised given how much you've always liked the CV5111! 😀
Exactly right, the CV5111 silver & blue panda was always my favorite out of the JH80 series.

I think I prefer the white dial of this new glassbox over the silver sunburst on the CV5111. If they got rid of the tourbillon at 6 o'clock, they'd have a knockout IMHO. I like it a lot as it is, but the pricey cost of the tourbillon, which weakens the look, makes it a non-starter for me.

Completely agree with regard to the tourbillon.

I still prefer the CV5111. 😀
I prefer the CV5111 over this Tourbillon too.

But if they make a 39mm non-T glassbox version, it would be a tough choice. The CV5111 has the Heuer logo going for it and a classic look. But it's kinda thick and slab sided compared to the new glassbox, which wears better for me.

I'm not even joking, this is getting my WOTY vote unless something better comes along. Because the Sprite might be cool in person, but it's a Rolex rip off 100%.

Well, having slept on it and looked at it again I haven't changed my mind at all. It's my WOTY so far and definitely getting a 9.5.

Here's one you might not have seen? A CG1123-0 S/el commissioned by Michael Schumacher, 1 of 20, as gifts to his Benetton mechanics after winning the 1994 F1 world championship ... 100% provenance on this one too

Very cool! 😎
Thanks for sharing, wasn't aware of these. I'd love to find one, except for the fact that the 1994 F1 championship will always remain a very dark year (for me) given the loss of Senna. 🙁

Very nice, although I still think having white or cream subdials would have made this even better.
