Kirium F1 crown question

Hi Everyone!

I recently purchased a TH Kirium F1, and I’m a little bit confused, is this supposed to have a screw down crown? Mine behaves as a pull out crown, I’m just wondering if 200m WR can be achieved with a pull out crown system?

I have been looking for the manual for the watch, but so far all the links are broken.

I don't know the answer, but I always understood the screw down crown didn't particularly add any water-resistance but was rather there to prevent the crown being pulled out under water.

One further observation. For chronographs, a screw-down crown doesn't add a whole lot of protection (because the pushers are easier to activate than popping out the crown). For this reason, I would never take my chronographs in the water. It's also the reason that the Rolex Daytona and Tudor Chronographs have screw-protected pushers.

Hi Bill, congrats on buying an F1 Kirium, a very cool watch that I have owned since 2005 (my first TAG Heuer). It does not have a screw down crown, so there is nothing wrong with your watch. In fact your crown does something very cool that I presume you don't know about - that being you can hibernate the watch to save the battery. First you should rotate the crown until the display is completely blank, then pull out the crown. You will see at the top of the screen it now says 'Battery', press the top pusher in until that disappears and the watch is in hibernation mode. When you want to wear it again, press the crown in and the hands will shoot round to where they should be. It's very cool to watch.

Thank you Bill, glad to have you aboard. Yes, be careful... I just had the Kirium for 8 years, then I added the Aquagraph... then about 4 years ago it started to get out of control and the last couple of years it really took on a life of its own! Hahahaha.
