I read that a few guys had issues with the thread on the crown and things like that, wonder if they actually had a genuine product.

Just got it, really nice!
How does the power reserve work? Is it ok with wearing it on special occasions only or should it be worn daily?

Surprised it has a glass back, on a 500M...

Take a look at the C11 article, smoked glass back is standard https://www.calibre11.com/review-aquaracer-full-black/

Power reserve will be 1-2 days. Wear it as often or as little as you like.

I have the chrono version, some months it gets worn everyday, others it doesn't make it onto my wrist. I am fairly careful with it because of the black finish, after 3 years its got a bit of polishing on a couple of edges, but is otherwise spotless.

Don't forget to exercise caution when setting the date if you let the power run out (move the hands between 2 and 8 usually).

Can you explain this? Never heard of that.

In the manual it should tell you about it. Basically if you set the date on a watch if the hands are near enough to midnight you can damage the mechanism. My Carrera advises not having the hands between 8pm and 2am (IIRC). It's because the date mechanism starts to engage after 8 and releases before 2. It applies to all watches, but you tend not to have to set the date on quartzes so often, it's so easy to pick up an automatic that has run down and set the date without thinking.

Has anyone ever put on a different bracelet on a watch like this? Don't mind the rubber one, but other options would be nice.

I know reading the manual goes against the 'male' grain.... but it's probably a good idea.
