In desperate need of some help

Hi All,

I recently purchased a fiberglass cleaning pen to touch up some of my brushed titanium straps/ buckles. Before I started on the strap I made sure to check which way the grain was going to follow the lines but for some reason when I came to do the buckle checking just completely slipped my mind.

Where on the strap it had pretty much kept its shine, the buckle now looks dull... is there anyway for me to rectify this? can I go back over it the way the grain went originally or will it make it worse?

Thanks for your help and expertise

Did you try polishing it with Simichrome or Cape Cod?

no I haven't... have some cape cod but I didn't think you could use it on brushed surfaces which is why I went with the fiberglass pen?

I thought you said now it looks dull because of the said brush?
Cape code have an alternative product for brushed surface.

No all I used was a fiberglass cleaning pen, as I said it worked wonders on the strap when I went along the grain but stupidly went against it on the buckle... Just wondered if I went over it again with the pen bit following the original grain of it would rectify it?
