Y'know it's funny, cheap fake or not it's a much better aesthetic tribute to the original than the actual TAG reissue ::facepalm1::

Bezel is the right thickness which really helps the aesthetic. Same with it being a bit of a slimmer case. Not too sure about the curved glass effect on the bezel. Prefer white subdials to silver. And I definitely couldn't wear a mecha-quartz (don't like that movement anyway) with "Heuer 02" on the dial! :whipped:

Oh I'm not touching that fake quartz POS with a 10-foot pole while wearing two layers of heavy rubber gloves.

Just saying the aesthetics are better overall than the actual TAG reissue.

Agreed. Maen did a pretty good job with the dimensions and proportions of the Skymaster also. Shame they can't deliver on it (yet).

It's not bad and certainly caught my eye when it was first announced a while back, but ultimately it's a no-go from me because of the uncanny-valley of the Carrera lugs and mushroom pushers

I was tempted. But given the delays and chrono issues, glad I didn't. Don't do microbrand pre-orders any more anyway after the Helgray Silverstone fiasco. Best to order in stock, tried and tested!

I was thinking the same thing. It seems a mash-up of the Rindt with the new pilot case and bezel.

I'm unaware of those issues, and now I'm curious!

However, I have had to implement a strict no-micros policy. They're fun and some are quite nice but I found that whenever I bought micros, they just took cash away from the watches I really wanted and then I would end up not wearing them anyway after a while. :/

Agree with you. Quality over quantity.

Helgray wasn't untypical of many microbrand Kickstarters to be honest, but it was the usual story of delays, poor communication, complaints, and then a watch that in the flesh didn't really match up to the Kickstarter photos.

I have to agree on this 👍 In my experience, after buying a certain watch, the thrill and excitement quickly wanes down and doesn’t end up in the watch rotation anyway..
Thus only TAG Heuer makes the love and passion stay for me 😉

There has been speculation on a revised Autavia Chronograph in a similar style to the new Calibre 5, but it's not not clear if we will ever see that watch.

I have the pictures if you want, in private 😉

This model was shown at Bale 2019 to professionals. There are still some photos that can be found on Google Images. It's an Isograph Flyback chrono.

I think this specific model has been discontinued (there will surely be another one)

Thanks Virgile.

Yes, I had the prototype of the Isograph Chrono in for a full photos shoot...I have +70 photos that I’ll never be able to use 🙁

I'm actually happy we'll never see that chronograph. I think it looked worse than the 3-hander. The new Carreras are miles ahead. Shame about the flyback but we'll probably see that in another watch.

I agree: I didn’t like that Autavia Isograph chronograph very much 😒

Maybe a future article about 'the Autavia chronograph that never happened'

Yeah, that thing was not awesome.

I'd say "GOOD."

But I hear it isn't dead.... I believe TAG still hopes to punish us with it at some point 🙁

Anyone looking for a Heuer 02 Autavia in the UK? TAG Heuer Bicester Village have them in stock on a bracelet £3550 or a strap £3500.
