I own a Heuer Autavia 1163 GMT that belonged to a Spanish rally driver The Late Mr. Julio Gargallo and was gifted to me by him in 2005.

From the information I've gathered in the internet, looks like a Mark I but with a Mark II bezel insert that has faded into a ghostly appearance. Mr. Gargallo was a keen watch collector so I wonder if this bezel was a factory replacement at service early on its lifetime.

I would love to get information from this expert forum in order to know exactly what I have in terms of originality.

Thank you very much and kind regards,

Fernando

I think given the serial number, it's more likely to be a Mk.II that may have had its subdial hands replaced at some point (which is not uncommon)

Very nice either way, and it'd be great if you have any photos of him wearing it during an event 👍
