Heuer 02 chrono minute reset

I am a bit worried because of the somewhat moody behaviour of the minute hand on my brand new Heuer 02 chrono: Today it didn't adjust to zero but to one minute before zero at reset. After starting the chrono again the reset worked correct. This was repeated multiple times: reset to zero only every other push of the reset function! Right now the function is working reliable again.
Since I am not very experienced with automatic choronographs, can anybody tell me, if this is a normal effect with automatic chronographs? Or might there be a gear that is partially defective?

I have heard about the exact same thing with 7750's. Would not consider it normal and I would either claim warranty or get it serviced

IMHO, you need to properly wind the watch (CH02) for sometime before being able to adjust it. I had a similar issue before but it went back to “normal” after giving it a good wind and use. HTH.

Thank you guys for your opinion. I think I will monitor it a few more days. If the effect occurs again, I will give the watch to service.
