Hello all,

I'm thrilled to have just aquired direct from the original owner and flawless Heuer Autavia 2446C Abercrombie and Fitch model with the first execution case. Problem is bezel popped off and I can't get it back on without fear of damaging or bending it. My watchmaker who I've been using for ages and who is great said he needed to make some grooves inside retaining ring. That scared me. Anyone know the trick to getting a bezel back on a first execution case. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi- I don't, but I would certainly get a second opinion. Where do you live?

I wouldn’t be letting anyone modify anything on it at all. The value of these is such that it’s only worth getting it seen to by a watchmaker who has experience with them. If absolutely necessary send it back to Tag Heuer and let the heritage department team sort it properly.

Thanks for the replies. I've taken my watch to a very reputable vintage only dealer to use his watchmaker. I stopped trying to do it myself and absolutely wouldn't allow any modifications to the bezel per my watchmakers idea.
