Help? 929.213G 20

Does this model number mean anything? I am trying to identify a watch so that I may sell it.

It is about circa 1996 and has had a hard life but is working.

Ah, that's a 929.213G (yes I read it off the case back). More commonly known though as a Tag Heuer 1500 series with a quartz movement. Obviously the bezel is missing. Should it have a black dial rather than a white dial? Not sure - most of those I found online were black dialed.
