I just wanted to let the group know that my rare just completely serviced Heuer 844 from 1975 with original dial hands Mineral crystal and case is currently up for auction on Sotheby’s in NY . I am the original owner and believe that they priced it too low $2k for an opening bid but we’ll see where the auction goes thank you ! Russ Dejulio Pittsburgh PA

My watch has met the low estimate of only 2k after the $350 full service My watchmaker completed in 11/2021 it is an absolute bargain looks and runs like new . I hope a Heuer enthusiast buys it . I believe there are 3-4 days left in the auction. Thank you all ! Russ Dejulio Pittsburgh PA

3-4 days to go and already met estimate. I wouldn’t worry.

I’m struggling to understand the appeal of selling such a relatively accessibly priced piece through Sotheby’s 👎

Sotheby’s being a “classical” auction house (even online), doesn’t that add a huge premium upon acquisition (like 20+ percent), thereby actually limiting the pool of potential buyers?
