Has anyone had their watch case polished by TAG Heuer?

I want to purchase a 7 year old used Tag Heuer Carrera Calobre 5 watch, which as part of a full service, has had the case polished by Tag Heur. It has been brought to my attention that polishing the case can change the shape of the case and make the edges more rounded, if done too much or incorrectly. This worries me a bit, and I would therefore like to hear people's experience with having it polished in connection with the servicing by Tag Heuer. Did you find that the shape was changed on the watch case or did you see absolutely no difference?

Additional questions:
How many times can you have the watch polished by Tag Heuer until it actually changes shape? I suppose I believe any ding or scratch that is too deep to be polished away without removing too much metal that will alter the shape of the watch, they will instead replace with a new case or leave as is, or am I wrong?

Do you think in connection with servicing the watch, you will be able to request to have the watch case replaced instead of having the old one polished? If so, would the price be somewhat higher than the cost of the polishing? On the used 7 year old watch I mentioned, it cost 79 euros to have the case polished.

I sent a watch in to TAG and asked for no polishing to be done. The technician servicing my watch missed the instruction, though - polishing is standard procedure - and I was told, before I got the watch back, that it had been polished. They apologised and compensated me but to be honest, they'd done a good job and I couldn't really notice. The original case looked perfect - it was only a very light polish and you'd have thought it was a new watch. I doubt that TAG would significantly alter the shape of the case or spoil the original finish.

And yes, you could certainly ask them to replace the case, or they may deem it necessary because of really deep dents. It would probably be more expensive than polishing as you'd be charged the cost of the new part.

Sounds good to me. I guess there's no need to worry as long as it's Tag Heuer doing the polishing, as they are very professional and have the expertise and equipment to make the watch case like new without changing the shape or finish. As opposed to a watchmaker who might polish it too much.
Would it be a good idea for me to find another Tag Heuer watch to compare with (either in an authorized Tag heuer store or find a guy who owns one) to see if there is a difference. Even though their work is professional, mistakes can happen and therefore it is always good to be on the safe side. After all, I have 14 days right of withdrawal
