This Carrera had the same two register Valjoux 92 movement and black dial, but had an original 1/5 second track and had regular-sized chronograph pushers. This MG had another mysterious name printed at the dial, but it wasn’t the E.W. Gonzalez. The name was Roger Brady. Was it another unsolvable mystery? In fact, no it wasn’t. After a few seconds of searching, I came across the PDF of the
British Motoring Summer 1997 issue that had an interesting profile of J.S. Inskip, Inc., a distributor of British luxury and sports cars (including MG, Austin-Healey, Riley, Morris, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley) in New York. On page 7, the article states that a person named Roger Brady was head of the Overseas Delivery Department. Coincidence? I think not.
