First post - Question on a bit of bling?

Looks like a great forum - here is my first post.

I bought a new Grand Carrera CAV511A in 2009 to celebrate getting my MBA and have been very happy with it.

I was looking at perhaps getting a new watch that has a bit of bling (I don't have anything in that category).

What does everyone thing of the Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 CAR201P.BA0766 ? Anyone have pictures to post? I did a search and didn't see anything on the forums.

Those are great! I do have a few (less expensive) watches that have a similar style to those two so maybe in the future!

I like the h1, but really dislike it with the bling. Personally I would buy the new h2 now, because I like the symmetry of the sub dials.

If bling is a must there are more elegant ‘bling’ watches out there. There are also far better ways to spend 10k on a watch, for that money you can get a moonphase or even a PM watch which would look far more ‘classy’ or have a talking point / ‘special’ aspect.

If you want elegant bling then something like the Carrera WV5140 is cool, although way below the budget you appear to have set.

The bezel bling on the one you mentioned does zero for me personally, but thankfully we don’t all like exactly the same things.

Do you definitely want a TAG Heuer? Is it just diamonds that meet your wish for some bling? Are you male or female? The answers to those questions may help forum members give you some useful suggestions.

Pity you already have a Grand Carrera, they do the GMT with a diamond bezel.

Male, not specifically diamonds, and not specifically TAG. Just starting my search!

Well, i've seen the Tag Heuer Heuer01 with diamond bezel in store before.

Despite my initial doubt about it, i must say it's not bad at all !

Will i personally spend that much money for the Heuer01 with diamond ? Maybe not. But i still think the website photo didn't do the watch enough justice.

You might want to consider Heuer01 with gold bezel. I think i like that one more than the diamond bezel one.

Ah, not much into gold, but thinking about TT something might be just enough.

MP is a bit to dressy for me, I wouldn't have enough opportunities to wear it. And for PM, waaaay beyond my budget!
