I think he's an excellent driver- and a terrible team person.
- His actions at McLaren in 2007 were disgraceful- blackmailed the team with info that he got from Pedro unless he was looked after ahead of Lewis
- Singapore 2008 was another disgrace. Just don't believe that he didn't know something
- Left Ferrari under a cloud
- Took huge $ from McLaren a second time around and held the team over the ledge. Succeeded in getting Honda axed and then left anyway

Always hard to know the inside story, but there is so much smoke that there's fire somewhere. Not worth the risk.
Totally agree, and first point (blackmailing Ron Dennis into giving Alonso priority over Hamilton, which ultimately cost McLaren-Mercedes the Constructors' Title and $100 million...) was totally unacceptable and unsportsmanlike. In addition to betraying Pedro's trust by airing some personal messages. I really appreciate Pedro de la Rosa, whom I know personally, so since those events I don't like Alonso at all

Alonso is a good driver, yes... as long as his teammate doesn't beat him, or his wires get crossed as happened in 2007... but of course he's not a good team member, because he doesn't think about the interests of the team (which pays him millions for that) but just in his interests. Of course, if I were a F1 team principal, I wouldn't sign Alonso
