Usually the red sticker is put as a sign that the authentication has taken place. I've bought from eBay private sellers who don't accept returns, but the watch comes with the same authentication band. Thankfully never got in a conflict with a private seller so can't shed more light on that subject.

Yup, that's eBay's authenticity card. I'd say it only holds value if the original TAG card is not available. They also put a red band on the strap + watch back saying "no returns if removed" - but I found that quite confusing as I couldn't find any option on eBay to challenge the authenticity of the watch even if I had to.
Yeah I am curious about this too, what happens when Ebay approves a watch in their authenticity guarantee program and 4 years later the watch is rejected service by TAG due to counterfit watch
