To be fair, the authentication service is only concerned with whether it's genuine or not. I've bought and sold quite a few watches that have used the authentication service and it makes selling in particular so much safer, but also reassures buyers.
As long as it's just a misaligned hand, and there's no issue on the movement, it's a quick and easy fix. Where's your friend located?
The fixing is not an issue, we've got a TAG boutique who can take it in and send for a service. The watch will be opened up, taken apart, hands realigned, seals changed and water tested before putting it back. I guess its a 2-3 month scope. The comedy is that this is keant to ne acceptable as per eBay.
Depends if the issue was in the listing.
If it was shown in the pictures or specified in the description/condition, and not otherwise contradicted by wording in the listing, then it's as-described.
Reason I asked where it was located was if it was anywhere near Brighton I'd get them to pop in and I'd fix it in half an hour.
near mint and only worn twice with no issues
But if I remember correctly 'ebay' is the Latin word for scam so we can't expect too much now can we
I think in general one needs to be weary of buying from eBay in general.
Sorry to point this out - but this typo amused me: I think you meant to recommend that people are wary* of buying from ebay. 馃榾
I loved that the typo made an alternative perfect sense: I am certainly weary** of buying from ebay! 馃榿
* Wary: "watchful, cautious, or alert"
** Weary : "tired or exhausted"
You're right, I meant "wary". Clearly I've been using "weary" wrongly all these years 馃槣. But weary works rather well in this case!!!
