Amazing lack of knowledge shown here but you only learn by asking....<ahem> I'm interested in getting a Monaco with H.02 movement. I understand this is a mechanical movement. Recently purchased a 2001 quartz 6000 series chronograph. Opened it up to find it has "tag heuer 2.00" on the movement ( see my profile pic ) . Just wondering if they are any relation?. Initially thought hey, how about that!!. Then thought mechanical vs quartz - are the movements the same and it's just the energy to drive them that's different - absolutely no idea ( obvs) Can someone please enlighten me ? Ta.
Hi Dav! No, the movements are totally different. Here you have the TH explanation about a quartz movement vs an automatic movement: Quartz: https://faq.tagheuer.com/articles/e...S&c=Products:Technical_Details&fs=Search&pn=1 Automatic: https://faq.tagheuer.com/articles/e...S&c=Products:Technical_Details&fs=Search&pn=1
