Hello there. Many years ago, i was gifted a Tag Heuer that i have little information of. I recently started my involvment with mechanical watches and i wanted to know what goes with my watch: type of mechanism, juwels, bpm, power reserve etc. Somewhere i read that maybe is an ETA movement (which?) and maybe is a 2000 series or an early Aquaracer (2004), but i cant know for sure. I'll add a photo. One more thing: i read around that Tag Heuer lose value fast. Any comment on why?
Thanks in advance.

It appears to be a WAB2011 which can have Aquaracer Automatic or just Automatic on the dial.

The watch was originally called the '2000 Aquaracer' and subsequently became simply 'Aquaracer'.
Can't tell you off hand what movement it has, but I will try and find out for you. Most likely an ETA or Sellita I would have thought?
Despite what people seem to think, watches in general lose money, it's only certain pieces from certain brands that don't. Not sure what your watch would be worth, I paid £500 for a mint quartz piece that looks very similar, but that was a good deal. These aren't ten a penny like some models and it would appear yours is the early version which might interest some people but doesn't make it particularly collectible.
