Which of your watches gets the most unsolicited comments from strangers?

For me, it's by far the Monaco. Most have said either "nice watch" or "what kind of watch is that?" Someone even wondered if it was a smart watch. I guess having a big square on your wrist just attracts attention. Also, my Monaco has drawn many comments from many women. All my other watches have only gotten comments from primarily men. Gotta love the Monaco!

Second place goes to my Rolex Submariner. But I've noticed that those who comment on it are usually wearing Rolex.

Third place, my Breitling Navitimer.

Last place, Omega. Ironically, while it's my second favorite watch in my collection, my Omega Speedmaster has never gotten a single comment from anyone.

1. Monaco. Let me add that all of my Monacos have gotten comments, but my Gulf has gotten the most.

Generally speaking, none of my watches solicit comments from strangers! Once I got a "nice watch" comment on my Rolex Explorer from a friend of a friend. My Carrera JH80th attracted a lot of attention from an old friend. Oh, and my sister once complimented me on my Tissot PRC200 chrono. 😀 Apart from those occasions (and they were all from acquantances/family/friends), I can't think of a single time the watch I'm wearing has ever been brought up.

No one in my circle of people care much about watches. I prefer that, because they would shit a brick if I told them how much I spent on my really good ones.

The most common places where complete strangers have commented on my watch were on an airplane, or at the airport, or in a restaurant (usually by the waiter or waitress).

It happens a lot in watch stores too, but I guess that doesn't count. 🙄

For me it was when wearing slightly different shaped watches, one a Hamilton Everest and the other the Timex Q. My two cheapest but odd shaped get the most "nice watch" comments. Go figure...

The only time I've had a comment on my watch from a stranger was a colleague asking about my ws2113 (the old looking gmt in my avatar), he was asking how old it is and what it is. We then got caught up in a long watch discussion

Not that I can recall.

My brothers and my father often talk about watches, but I've never had any comments from strangers. I'm obviously wearing the wrong watches......

For some reason of all the uncommon watches I've owned and worn, it's my old Seiko 7006 that gets the most comments 'in the wild' - I think it's the orange accented dial that really makes it stand out to be people, and now I have it on a black leather with orange stitching rally strap to compliment it - I call it my October watch now, but people seem to notice it, for whatever reason.
