As I am super bored , any one ever tried to drill / cut / punch it for housing a spring bar so we can use normal straps?:whistling:

No! These lugs are too expensive! ::facepalm1::

I have now 5 different modular 45 straps: 3 leather -gray, black, brown- and 2 rubber -black, and black with TH logos- (2 with black buckles, and 3 with titanium buckles) so it’s enough variety for me! :)

I love how easy and fast is changing straps with the original modular system... and it’s not the same with a spring bar and normal straps, so I would not take the risk to destroy those expensive lugs! ;)

Yeah, same here actually. (Apart from: I've got the Titanium ones)

I pinged TAG and was told to "contact" a shop to discuss options, where they showed me all 5 or 6 different shades of plastic they had in store.

I then emailed probably a dozen or more bespoke and custom jewellers and shops etc (being in Central London means there is an abundance of them around) Most of them have not responded or said no: shying away from the risk, and saying the precision required isn't something they could achieve.
One said it sounds doable, but they were far too busy doing their own stuff.

But then one replied saying it doesn't look like a big deal.

The only concerns so far:
(1) the drill bit is too long to drill from the "inside", so he'll have to drill the holes through from the outside, and you would see the holes on the outside of the lugs. (which I don't think would be a big deal .... )
(2) and the other concern the available space, because the lugs aren't actually that big. So you'd have to have drill quite close to the edge to leave enough room between the spring bar and the watch to fit a strap.

I'll keep you posted

Good to know that I am not the only one lol

Mean nothing wrong with exiting straps which I also had a few , but always good to have mpre choice.

Besides it's not that indestructible ......::facepalm1::
( Yes I smashed it to steel /wall /rock etc etc)

In this picture we can clearly see the difference between the first version of the TH CM 45 straps (too long) on the left, and the updated straps with the revised size on the center and on the right. Be careful when you buy them online unless you have a giant wrist, because the reference number is the same!

Tadaa!

Found someone to drill the holes: took him 5 steel drill bits for the 4 holes in titanium ;-)

I'll add some more pictures later.

Yes, I am sure it does.
I'd have to buy new lugs I guess if something went wrong. And I would not have asked someone to drill those hole if you could not detach the lugs from the watch.
