Connected E1 and button issues

Hi All,

I have a first gen Connected which I love but unfortunately the button has stopped working.

I've tried to do a bit of searching on how to resolve/fix but there isn't a whole lot of information around.

I took it to a local watch repair guy who is a genius with older mechanical watches, but not so good with the electronic watches I think.

It also seems TAG Heuer no longer support this watch in Australia so no option to have them repair it.

Has anyone has a problem where the button stopped working and have you resolved it?

Thanks

Sonny

Hello !!!!

I had never heard of a problem with the Gen 1 button...with that problem I see three possible solutions...

1 factory reset in case the problem is solved

2 remove the back cover of the watch and try to see if something is wrong with it The interior is still a button, that part of the watch

3 use an application like watchmaker to be able to use the applications without pressing the button

If you try option 2, I attach a video on how to disassemble it, the cover is extremely easy and you will not touch anything important about the watch.

luck !!!!!

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have done the reset thing a few times now but I keep getting the same result.

I have taken the back off the watch but there isn't any obvious way to see if the button is working or not.

Does anyone have a detailed picture of how the button makes contact with the watch to cause a press to be registered?

Also, after a reset if the button doesn't work then you can't complete the setup - which is a real pain.

Thanks

Sonny
