Very tricky choice, I really like both (and have looked at both thinking 'I need to buy that'). Have you worn either? Try them on and see what looks right on your wrist, and works best for you.

So a few months later, I finally got the opportunity to try on the Heuer-01, and compare it to a Calibre 17. Today I am definitely preferring the classic look, to my surprise. Lets wait and see what the Aquaracer-01 looks like...

I'd be very , very tempted by that price. If it wasn't in the US. 🙁

If it was in the UK, I'd have bought it already!

After a bit of thought and then sleeping on it...........I've hit the "Buy it Now" button.
The stars aligned (I'm in Florida on business week after next and a local colleague is happy to take delivery for me) so that price was just too tempting. Could have done with the £ being a bit stronger against the $ but hey-ho. Worked out at a smidge under £2500, or 40% off UK RRP. It's £700 less than the best UK online price too.
imagwai, on the very very slim chance that I do not love it, I'll drop you a line..........

Good work 😀 I was looking at that wondering if I could raise the cash, £2500 is a bargain!

Which boutique was that? Im curious to try one on, after my recent experiences have shown that watches are very different on the wrist and in pictures.

In Saudi Arabia; I'm wearing my Carrera SpaceX, and at 43mm all white dial, the telemeter was dwarfed.

None of the less, it is much nicer in reality than photos and exudes a unique retro feel.

Congratulations. Very good price for that watch. If you're desperate to get rid of it then let me know, I might make you a cheeky offer. That is unless I've bought something else first - I'm actually mulling over a Speedmaster First Omega in Space...

Exactly, the smaller size of the Telemeter is what shocked me too. 41mm would have been the perfect size IMHO. The "glassbox" dome also gives the illusion of the dial being smaller than it is.

Congratulations to @Big Adam in his purchase. I am still waiting for my dealer to get mine.

Congrats Hubert. Size looks good on you.
Thanks! Still getting used to it, but the dial is gorgeous! 😁
