Ah, that's right- budgets 馃槈

Of the two above I'd be going for the Calibre 18. I like modern, but I'm not 100% on Skeleton dials. The watch that I am waiting for is an "Aquaracer Heuer-01"- no idea if we're going to see one at Basel, but I hope so.

Interesting wish on the Aquaracer. 馃榾

I was pretty much set on the Calibre 18 Telemeter, even though its glass-box dome and small-size are not ideal to me, but I got to tell you that after wearing the TH Connected for the last two weeks, the larger titanium frame and modern styling do look really striking. That said, I am also not a fan skeleton watches, but the Heuer-01 revisions do raise the watch up a notch.

I'll probably go further back in time and find myself a JH, a limited edition, or wait for interesting limited edition Carrera to come out.

Maybe meeting the Heuer-01 in the flesh will make me fall.

@Hubert, I have to warn you, once you go big, it will be very difficult to go back! 馃榾

Thanks for the feedback @elbeik. I already own the JH80 and JH81 anthracite. This is a picture of mine.

The Telemeter is the obvious choice, but I do find it a bit too small. I tried it last month and to be honest, was a bit disappointed.

In other circumstances I'd go for a Monaco, but I already collected all the vintage themed editions (CAW211A, B, C, D, & P). Not sure I want to embark on the 2nd-hand vintage path.

So now that I've been enjoying the TH Carrera Connected, the design has really grown on me. Hence the need for objective opinions, from all you fine people. 馃榾

The other alternative, outside TH, would be this:

The Speedmaster is an all-time classic, an icon from Omega, just like the Carrera is for TH.
I particularly like the new dark / grey / pick your color side of the moon editions.

Yes, I agree. I particularly like this one. Classic, clean looks. Very Heuer like. 馃槈

This is completely based on personal taste (and size to a degree), but glassbox for me, no question.

Great; the Calibre 18 Telemeter seems to be the clear choice for the enthusiasts on this forum. No surprise there. 馃榾 Thanks!

Very tricky choice, I really like both (and have looked at both thinking 'I need to buy that'). Have you worn either? Try them on and see what looks right on your wrist, and works best for you.

For example, I had planned to buy a carrera as a dress watch, but actually my full black aquaracer goes with my current uniform of jeans/polo/tee a lot better and I dont know how much wear a dress watch would get. I still plan on buying a Jack 80/81 as soon as I can raise the funds, because I love the classic look, but day to day, probably a Heuer-01 would work better.

The glassbox is one of my favorite designs, but I have a feeling I wouldn't love it so much if I put it on. Who knows, maybe I'd love it more...

Thanks for the feedback @dtf

I have tried the Calibre 18 Telemeter. This picture is when I tried it last month. However I have not seen the Heuer-01 in person.
