Just received this in my email inbox and thought I would share. Nice colour scheme. 41mm. But another Calibre 5 watch, and another limited edition (200 pieces worldwide)
Damn, that is actually one fine looking watch also, love that they in 2021 release it with the old logo
For some reason they have refused to update the logo on these three hand Carreras. But the updated line will be released later this year right, so I guess they will squeeze as much as possible out of these remaining parts before killing this current generation.
Strange.... Snowy sent me this the other day saying it was a 'French' limited edition that had found it's way to Japan...
This one does not seem to be available in the US. Perhaps it's an Anglo-French SE or limited to certain regions?
Exactly my first reaction! My second is, is this limited exclusive release some sort of Red Bull F1 collaboration?
It turns out that it is a parts bin raid! I like it though. The gallery on TAG Heuer's web site shows a strap with holes for a pin buckle yet a deployant clasp. Clearly, a different type of clasp to their usual though.
Keen eye sir @Mr_Orange Yup, TAG Heuer factory really knows how to clean up and make use of old parts. I’m still a bit biased towards the old TH logo though
I take this back. It is on the US website after all. Either I missed it before or it was recently updated.
Yes, it looks like the type of clasp that uses the holes rather than clamping down on the leather. The plus side is your strap will have no clamp marks, the downside is that it's not as infinitely adjustable. My Tudor clasp is the same type.
Indeed. I bought this type of clasp a few years ago to try out with a strap. I don't use it now and I don't really recall the reason why.
That is a really good price! The leather strap (excluding clasp) for the H01 the AD wanted approx. 700 Euro for
Seems about right. In USD, I paid $175 for the strap and $290 for the clasp. Must be a pretty fancy strap!
Well sure, it is rubber with some alligator on top. I understand that killed exotic animals cost more since it is luxury but it seemed a bit extreme pricewise.
