I recently lost a Heuer watch in a relocation. I want to replace the watch but i'm having trouble identifying the model number. The watch was purchased between 1980 and 1985, It came in a long red hinged box marked Heuer. It originally had a rubber band. The documentation is labeled "Heuer Electronic 12" The warranty information was copyrighted in 1980. The watch was a dive watch with a black face and bezel with a screw down locking crown. I'm not sure if it was a 980.006, 980.006L or a 980.013N Can anyone help identify the watch???

After much research I was finally able to identify the watch in question. The 12 on the literature referred to a Calibre 12 movement and the "electronic"signified that it was a quartz movement. The watch was offered with the Tropic band and retailed for around $250-$295 in 1980.
The watch was actually an original 980.006.

Not sure about the Calibre 12 part- that is a mechanical movement, not an electronic one.

Nevertheless, pleased that you tracked down your 1000 diver!
