I took a look at this the other day and thought that it may be interesting- of all the photos that I post on Instagram, which ones do people actually like the most? Here are the top 15 over the last 2 years (if I made it the top 15 over the last year, the list is exactly the same)
    IMG_1003.jpeg

    So, we have:
    - Six Carreras
    - Six Monacos (strong showing from the 50th models- and 2X Red as well as 2 X Japanese Green photos)
    - One Silverstone
    - One Monza
    - One Autavia

The first non-heritage TAG Heuer (i.e. modular Carrera, Aquaracer, Link, etc) comes in at #28

Split into vintage vs. new and we have have a strong preference for newer watches (12) as against vintage (3).

And of course....15 production watches and one that never made it :(

Overall, based on an average of 30k followers, the best photos are getting an engagement rate of around 7% (actually, it's higher, as technically engagement rates include comments, but I've ignored them here). Shows the benefit of not buying followers or getting hooked into those "like" rings that some used (including some watch blogs).

Anyway, not sure that there is really a strong point to be made- more for general interest. I just post photos of watches or photos that I like, there's no strategy of "If I post watch X, then it will get more likes" :whistling:

Overall, I would expect that the average Calibre 11 Instagram follower is less knowledgeable than the fine readers of this forum, but still interesting to see what people are interested in...and of course, their good taste in sending the Silverstone to the top

Instagram annoys me because you can't look at it without creating an account and I really don't want to. What's the one that didn't make it?

You say a preference for newer watches over vintage, but even the newer ones are all vintage-inspired/themed.

    Agreed.

I had an Instragram account for 6 days, when it got hacked. That was the end of that.

    Carrera Calibre 1969

yes, that’s one of the reasons that I post every Instagram photo into a thread here...doesn’t help with other accounts, but you’ll see all C11 insta photos here at the forum

I guess Instagram does not reflect the actual sales numbers and the average Tag Heuer buyer? I imagine Aquaracers and modern Carreras being top sellers?

Robert, you really should get Instagram, I follow like 80 accounts with only watches and boy it brings me a lot of joy and inspiration with the tons of sexy photos!

Instagram in general is everything that's wrong with the modern world.

I'm all for sexy photos, just not presented in a manner which turns people's brains to mush.:p

I quite like Instragram. It's not as bad as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Tik Tok, etc.

Somewhere in this forum there was a post that showed the TAG Heuer F1 as the top luxury watch in terms of sales. Not only the top TAG, but out of all luxury brands (IIRC).

My kid has a teenage kid! Although I have an Instagram account I have never looked at it, said teenager set it up on my iPad along with Facebook which only gets used for Scottish rugby groups, I have hundreds of friend request from people I don’t know.::confused2::
