Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that I’ve just picked up my first vintage TAG Heuer — a beautiful TAG Heuer 1000 980.006N diver! It’s in great condition and I’m loving the look and history behind it.

However, the jubilee bracelet is currently sized to about 7.5 inches, and I need extra links or a longer version of the bracelet to fit my wrist (~8 inches).

I’d really appreciate any advice on:
• Where to source extra links for this model
• Maybe can swap out the Tag Heuer clasp on a new bracelet if needed?

I’ve attached a few photos of the watch for reference.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Wish you luck but I know the feeling. Every vintage I've bought with the exception of one had that problem.

Fortunately, that one was a very pretty '95 Rolex Coke.

Found a fit for the 20mm lugs for this 980.006N as replacement. Also able to add links to the existing to keep the original bracelet logo. Cool concept.

Nice that you found a solution. 👍 Do the bracelet end links sit well against the case? A few pics of it fitted on your sweet diver would be nice.

Very well. Surprised and got lucky. Photo of it in the wild now and putting it together last night. I’ll swap the links later to use the original clasp since it lines up. Photo here now the new bracelet.
