Baselworld is an odd event.
It's primary focus is as a trade show, but it does sell tickets to the public. What this allows you to do is look at the new watches through the windows of the stands- TAG Heuer is quite accessible and you can get quite close.
What you won't be able to do is see and touch the watches in person, or buy them/ place an order. Unless you have an appointment you don't get to go inside to any booths and try anything on- at least for the big brands...the smaller brands in the outer halls would be a better bet. And you won't get an appointment unless you are a dealer/ media/ high value customer
Accomodation is difficult, but it's not too far from Zurich
So why go? Well, it can be a great way of meeting up with other watches lovers.
I've often thought about organising an event with TAG Heuer to bring Calibre 11 readers together and to make sure that everyone gets that access to the new watches....maybe some time with TAG Heuer to explain the new watches. If there is interest, then I can revisit the idea
