Are Connected straps interchangeable with other Tag watches?

Hi everyone - first timer here. Apologies if this has already been answered. I'd like to purchase the leather strap for my new Connected, but the C$350 is putting me off a little. Does anyone know if this strap will be compatible with the post warranty mechanical replacement watch?

Since the Connected Exchange Watch is not yet available, this would have to be answered directly by TAG Heuer.

Good question, I assumed that they were since they've made the Carrera available with the blue and white straps, which I assumed were the 'Connected' straps... but who knows?
