·I thought I would also add these pictures as they may be of some interest. While appreciate the design and craftsmanship that goes into a watch it is also important for me to ‘connect’ with the watch that I am wearing which sometimes means personalising it.
This brings me to the current Link series. I love the new dial and markers as well as the rounded case with polished sides however I am not such a fan of the flatter squared links. While this new angular design gives I a more modern look it also loses some of its presence that was enjoyed by the early SEL and Link series. I get around this I ‘upgraded’ the original BA0951 band with a BA0550 band form the previous model Link reusing the original end pieces and clasp. The fatter, rounded links compliment the rounded case extremely well and gives it far more presence on the wrist. It is my hope that future Link series will return to a more substantial and rounded band as this is what has set it apart from the competition from the beginning.
