Thinking of buying Aquaracer Calibre 5 Black Phantom (WAY218B.FC6364)..... Any thoughts? Good or bad.....

 

I have been wearing the non pvd, non phantom version of this for a year or so. It's a smart thing, lightweight, slim, and very comfortable. The strap is instantly comfy, no need for it to bed in.

You need to be fairly careful with the pvd, its quite tough but will scratch.

The phantom dial is a matter of opinion, it's not the most legible, but I think it looks really good on the wrist.

 

It's always been one of my bucketlist to own this phantom 3 hander aquaracer.

But the boutique in my country don't have it, so i never get to see one in real life.

I would say design wise it's really cool. But you need to be careful of the movement, since lots of complaints recently on the forum has emerged to avoid disappointment.

Still one of the coolest watch i wish i own, IMHO.

it is very cool...... i cant read the date very well, but that may be just age LOL as i cant read it very well on my other watches either......
and to boot it was customer appreciation week at my local jewelry store....got 30% off list and they threw in a ball cap!

Hi I just got mine, but I'm fearing it's a fake. The lumins don't work...

 

Are you sure? They are probably pretty dim being grey lume.

 

Yeah the lume on my all black Carrera isn't great either. It may just be the grey lume. Send a pic.

 

Shine your phone torch on them for a few mins and then put the watch in the dark.

yes the lume is crap on it...... but hey you want it to be stealthy and it looks really F-ing cool

 

I think this is how i magnetized my Aquracer calibre 5 before...

 

what phone? I’ve used my iPhone to light up my calibre 5 ar with no issues. The only time I magnetised it was when the cleaner put it on top of my iPad case (which has strong magnets to hold it shut).

 

I used Samsung Note One at that time

i am not sure exactly if this the case but i am very careful with my watch borderline to OCD level. ( reseller love it when i sold my watch to them).

So the only thing i could think of was that because i thought i would be fun to torch it over and over again using handphone.

 

Am considering the purchase of the 218A version; any of you own one and can comment on that one?
