Aquagraph replacement rubber band

Have an Aquagraph 2000 with the original rubber band. After 10 yrs, the band has cracked. All replacements online seem to be >$300. Any suggestions? Will an Aquaracer band be a good substitute? Any suggestion is appreciated. thanks.
