Advice needed regarding 6000 Mclaren.

Hi, I have just acquired a 6000 Mclaren (Ch1117) at auction that unfortunately has seen better days and is in non working condition. I fitted a new battery but to no avail, I am however determined to bring this beautiful chronograph back to life though. Is the movement the same ETA 251.262 as the three register quartz chrono in 6000 range or something completely different?

Good question- I've looked into this in the last and not been able to find an answer. I don't know if it's a modified version, given it only has two sub-dials. I remember trying to find a two-register movement in the 251.262 family but didn't turn anything up.

Please let us know if you have better luck!

@Calibre11 many thanks for the reply.
I have decided to send it to Tag here in the UK as it also needs a caseback and pushers but of course if the movement cannot be repaired or replaced then it's game over for this beauty. I'll be keeping my fingers and everything else crossed waiting for the call from Manchester and of course I will keep you informed of any developments
